NAVY OR COBALT??

Do you know the difference between cobalt blue and navy blue ?

Cobalt blue is a cool, sightly desaturated blue color, historically made using cobalt salt of alumina. It is used in certain ceramics (historically,especially Chinese porcelain)and painting. 

Cobalt blue is a bright and daring color. For me the cobalt result is more be nice if we use in a very glossy finish. The cobalt will be more come out,it is trending and therefore accessible. Nowadays its not strange to use the dominant blue color on a room, provide properly it would be really nice and daring. Bring some cobalt into your room, use as fabrics,feature wall paint or accessories, it will be fascinated.

Navy blue is a very dark shade of the color blue which almost appears as black. Navy blue got its name from the dark blue(contrasted with white). 

Navy blue tone is very dark, almost appears as black. we have to be careful to put it in the scheme because it can makes the room appear smaller. Dark tones provide a fantastic back drop for lighter and brighter colors which makes them more vibrant and alive. Navy blue is a cool color it benefits from light accents.

WE DID IT!

I am currently working as an interior consultant at one of the  Interior Consultancy Firm. Guess what with all these BIG PROJECTS we only have 5 peoples in the office,thats why we closely worked together as a team (read:family). They are of course me and my partner in crime Elvinditto Chrisna Yudha as an interior consultant (we had been friends since first year at the university of up to pass it along :P), and we have Fenny Ugahary & Nova Togatorop as an interior designer, and Heri Ari Setiawan as a draftman. Here sneak peaks of our projects, enjoy :)

1. Casa Grande Showunit, "California Romantic" concept

We did the interior for showunit at Casa Grande Residence - Kota Kasablanka, Jakarta. We did all the concept, carpentry works, soft furnishing and all the styling.  In making this concept, I get inspiration from Ralph Lauren Home. Ralph Lauren classic elegance is evidenced in the entire collection of furniture and the atmosphere that result from each design. Ralph Lauren has an impeccable, archetypal sense of taste. We wanted to created this unit into a simple shape but still have a sense of classic elegance and romance. Dominant materials and colors used are bronze mirror, white spray paint,brown, turquoise and classic patterns.

2. Casa Grande Showunit, "East Meet West" concept

For this unit we also did from the concept until the styling. We combine the oriental (East side) forms with modern classic (West side) forms. The use of white Chinesse screen ( all handmade engraving ) to make view is shown to be more Modern Oriental look and the mirror look the room more bigger.  Colors used are also more upbeat dering  than the previous unit. Using the lemon yellow for the welcome console at the lift lobby create its own distinct atmosphere, see the combination colors ( lemon yellow, lime green, pastel orange and fuchsia pink).  Colors used in the living room and dining room also provides a different atmosphere. In the dining room, table using a modern classic design and oriental dining chairs in red ferari color. I loved the oriental look in the dining setting.  All the tableware, accesories and styling items are imported from aboard. 

See the fuchsia chinese chair and the design of the coffee table, cushions pattern on the seating area. These items all pull together to create a solid look for a modern oriental apartment.

LAURA ASHLEY : IT STARTED WITH A SCRAF

The actress, known for redefining glamour, incorporated the style into her role in the film Roman Holiday. And coincidentally, Laura, along with her husband Bernard, began printing scarves and other small textiles from the kitchen table of their tiny flat.

In 2005 the company moved its production operations on to one site in Newton, Powys, where it currently produces paint, wallpaper and made to measure curtains. The company has growing franchise operations all over  the world, including the Far East, Australia, Scandinavia and South America, as well as increasing numbers of licensing projects for products including carpets, eyewear, towels and tiles.

Talking about Laura Ashley (7 September 1925 – 17 September 1985)  is never get enough time for me. She is Legend, she is my inspiration. She is as one of the great British heritage brands have the characteristics of a Romantic English design and use of natural fabrics. When the first time i knew about her, i really like the pastel colors used and the pattern that is very romantic, elegant and so feminine. Laura Ashley blend of space, color, furniture and accessories all with a harmony. Then its all about how you feel in the room and it's atmosphere. I find peace, harmonium comfort arising from the color and pattern of Laura Ashley. fyi, a year ago i described that Laura Ashley very inspiring me on twitter, and unexpected the admin of Laura Ashley twitter reply of my appreciation :D can't describe i'm so damn happy. But unfortunately i forgot to make that tweet as a favorite, so it lost in the timeline. i can't find it anymore or anyone know how to find mention of a year ago, I would greatly appreciate it :). Unfortunately she's going too soon or why she was living at the time I have not been born?

MISSONI !!

Let me write a short history about superb Missoni. It was owned by Ottavio Missoni, called "Tai" by his friends and his wife Rosita Missoni. From the beginning, Missoni is an Italian fashion house and its notable for its knitwear designs, made from a variety of fabrics in colorful pattern. The Missoni Home collection has its roots in furnishing fabrics produced in 1981 in collaboration with Rosita's family firm.

Missoni style is known for its multitude of pattern likes stripes, geometrics, and abstract florals in a kaleidoscope of colors. From the beginning i love Missoni because of the patterns are very eye catching and stylist as well. 

In 2005, Missoni and Rezidor Hotel Group signed an agreement to create Hotel Missoni, a lifestyle hotel chain with plans to have 30 hotels open or in development by 2012. As of March 2011, five properties have been confirmed.

WOHOOOO!! i just can't hardly wait until all of the hotel is opening, I am very excited to find out what else will he designed at the hotel. As usual and i know its gonna be interesting and stunning :D

When We First Meet :)

1 June 2012,and yeah its a beautiful first day in June to making a blog and this is my very first blog,yes I finally started to create a blog to put in all about the interior thingy, where my passion is (I'm so proud of my self that i finally found my passion btw)haha..

almost forgot, let me introduce my self first.. I'm an uptown girl who lives in a very busy super crowded and super jam town ever jakarta. My daily activities are drawings drawings and drawings and proud to say that i'm an interior consultant in one of the interior consultancy firm in town. i love my job toooo much haha <3
